Do I need to sand or prime before using Dixie Belle Paint?
One of the best features of Dixie Belle Paint is that it requires no sanding or priming in most cases! Simply clean your piece with our White Lightning cleaner to remove any grease or wax, and you are ready to start painting.
How long does it take for the paint to cure?
While the paint will feel dry to the touch within 15 to 30 minutes, it takes approximately 30 days to fully cure. We recommend being gentle with your finished piece during this period to ensure a durable, long-lasting finish.
What is the coverage area for a 16oz jar of paint?
A 16oz (pint) jar of Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint typically covers approximately 75 square feet. Coverage can vary based on the surface porosity and the color being used.
Do I need to apply a top coat?
While our Chalk Mineral Paint is very durable, we recommend a top coat like our Clear Coat, Gator Hide, or Best Dang Wax for high-traffic areas like tabletops or kitchen cabinets to provide extra protection and water resistance.
What is your return policy?
